FISH-it presents a searchable teleost database for more than 20 fish transcriptomes. It aims to collect assembled data from fish species which are published in public repositories of mRNA, collections of expressed sequence tags, species specific transcriptome databases, as well as data retrieved from in-house sequences projects. Sequences can be searched via the site's Blast search which is being updated regularly.
Furthermore, within the FISH-it database, information for each transcript will be presented comprising data (if available) about number of paralogues, sequence of each paralogue, gene expression, gene structure, gene trees, macro synteny, gene domains, molecular marker as well as genomic map location.
